It has come to our attention that someone is sending out an unsolicited spam with the Traders Nation name and/or web site link.
Please note that this spam is NOT coming from us. We do not send out or condone any kind of unsolicited emails, faxes or any other messages to the public. A reference to Traders Nation or TradersNation.com in any message does not mean it's coming from our company. Unsolicited spam is a terrible annoyance and Traders Nation will cooperate in the prosecution of any senders of unsolicited spam. Especially, when it infringes on our federally registered trademarked name Traders Nation (tm).
Traders Nation is the largest syndicated radio talk show for smallcap stocks - spammers use our name or web site link in the attempt to add creditability to their spam.
What can you do if you are receiving unwanted emails and faxes:
Faxes:
TradersNation.com does not operate a fax service. We do not send unsolicited faxes of any kind to anyone, ever. Unsolicited faxes are prohibited by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
- Complaints about unsolicited faxes should be directed to the FCC, not TradersNation.com. You can file a complaint online or in writing. Instructions on how to file a complaint are available at the FCC's website, www.fcc.gov.
Email Spam:
Report it to the Federal Trade Commission
- Send a copy of unwanted or deceptive messages to uce@ftc.gov. The FTC uses the unsolicited emails stored in this database to pursue law enforcement actions against people who send deceptive spam email. Let the FTC know if a "remove me" request is not honored. If you want to complain about a removal link that doesn't work or not being able to unsubscribe from a list, you can fill out the FTC's online complaint form at www.ftc.gov. Your complaint will be added to the FTC's Consumer Sentinel database and made available to hundreds of law enforcement and consumer protection agencies.
Whenever you complain about spam, it's important to include the full email header. The information in the header makes it possible for consumer protection agencies to follow up on your complaint.
- Send a copy of the spam to your ISP's abuse desk
Often the email address is abuse@yourispname.com or postmaster@yourispname.com. By doing this, you can let the ISP know about the spam problem on their system and help them to stop it in the future. Make sure to include a copy of the spam, along with the full email header. At the top of the message, state that you're complaining about being spammed.
- Complain to the sender's ISP
Most ISPs want to cut off spammers who abuse their system. Again, make sure to include a copy of the message and header information and state that you're complaining about spam.
- Other Regulatory Agencies:
File a report with the NASD's Regulatory Enforcement Division. If you are aware of unfair practices or specific instances of abusive conduct, NASD wants to know about it immediately. Often, violations of our rules and the federal securities regulations come to light through the receipt and investigation of regulatory tips from members of the industry and other industry professionals.
You have several options when filing a regulatory tip:
- You can use the online regulatory tip form or
- You can mail or fax a tip to NASD at the following address:
