About International Automated Systems, Inc.
Founded in 1988, International Automated Systems Inc. develops high-technology products for diverse markets such as energy production, wireless communications, consumer purchasing and financial transactions. The company, founded by a former AT&T communications engineer, is based in Salem, Utah.
New Solar Technology
Inexpensive Energy From the Sun |
IAS's new solar technology is the first to offer the possibility of competing head-to-head with fossil fuels for both electricity and gasoline production. It costs less now than the World Government's goal for solar power cost per kilowatt by the year 2020. IAS's unique thin-film lens focuses the sun's energy, producing super-heated steam for power generation. IAS's panels are inexpensive, efficient, and require virtually no maintenance. Typical solar reflector panels (e.g. solar dishes, troughs, heliostats) are very expensive and require a great deal of maintenance to sustain a solar focal point. Once installed, IAS's lenses need no further adjustment. More |
Breakthrough Turbine
Bladeless, Low Maintenance, Efficient |
New "Bladeless" Design for Turbines Could Dramatically Lower the Cost of Energy Production
International Automated Systems, Inc. (IAUS.OB) ["IAS"] has developed a new breakthrough bladeless turbine technology. It is a patent pending propulsion turbine, which some believe may revolutionize electrical power generation and low-cost hydrogen fuel production.
Tests conducted over the past 12 months have shown that the technology offers a significant improvement over traditional systems. Test results are from actual on-site tests by the company at various geothermal power plant facilities. When operating at hot water temperatures of 300-500F and 100-700 psig, using either single phase or bi-phase flow, conservative numbers show that IAS's turbine can produce a minimum of 20% more power than today's expensive multi-stage turbine under the same conditions. Automated Restaurant
Customers Order and Pay Without Cashier |
Self-service Fast-food
IAS's new patent pending OrderXcel system enables fast-food customers to place their orders on a touch-screen, pay for them with cash, check, credit or debit card-all without relying on a counterperson. Once they've paid, customers can receive their orders as quickly as possible from a counterperson who is dedicated solely to service. More |
Automated Fingerprint ID
Digital Fingerprint on Back of Credit Card |
Automated Fingerprint Identification
Improving Security and Consumer Self-Service
A key component of International Automated System's (IAS) consumer self-service product is the biometric system, which verifies people's identities when they make a payment-eliminating the need for a counterperson to check one's proper identification.
IAS was among the first companies to develop an automated biometric identification system, entitled the Automated Fingerprint Identification Machine (AFIM). The company has U.S. and international patents on taking any type of biometric image-fingerprint, hand, facial, voice, even iris-and generating a digital code that represents unique characteristics of the image. Automated Supermarket
Checkout Without Need for Cashier |
Self-Service Supermarket Check-Out
Self-service checkout has become accepted by supermarket shoppers in the U.S. who are embracing the convenience of scanning and bagging their own groceries. In fact, industry observers believe that self-checkouts will become more popular than pay-at-the-pump gas stations.
IAS was an early entrant into this market, with patented technology that enables customers to scan any size ordernot just the standard "Express Lane" 15 items or less that other companies' systems are limited to. IAS's scanners have been used for several years at the U-Check Supermarket in Salem, Utah. The results are impressive; all 12 checkout lanes have been self-scan and monitored by one cashier. An automated store employs only 18 people, less than a third of the number of employees at a traditional supermarket. More |
Airport Security
Accepts Fingerprint and Photo ID |
Airport Security Based on Patented Technology
International Automated Systems, Inc. [IAS- IAUS.OB] is developing an airport security system around its patented, market-tested biometric identification technology. The system will enable airlines to match passengers to their tickets and their luggage, a key element of improving travel security. More |
