About GL Energy and Exploration, Inc.
GL ENERGY AND EXPLORATION, INC. (bb: GEEX) is a development stage mining exploration company. GEEX holds a 60% ownership stake in 2 Chilean mining properties, covering an area of over 12 square miles, jointly referred to as the "La Barca-Choapa Project." These properties have extensive proven deposits of gold, titanium, zircon, magnetite, ilmenite, nickel, and others.
The Chilean mines have heavy sand deposits. These high grade deposits are easily accessible by railroad or paved highway and are located along the ocean. Studies have shown the deposits to be clean as no soil, clay, or contaminants such as sulfides, thorium, or uranium are involved. There are no residences, soil, forest, or grass cover on the ore bodies.
The Duna Choapa Norte ore body, which has an estimated 17 years of deposits, and the La Barca ore body, which has an estimated 38 years of product, are contiguous and located in the IV Region (Region de Coquimbo) of Chile.
Evidence suggests that the price of gold bottomed over a year ago and this market is n the early stages of a new multi-year bull market. The price of silver is at a six year low when adjusted for inflation. Ownership of GL Energy & Exploration stock provides an alternative to owning gold and silver bullion or even coins.
Investment bank Citigroup forecast gains in metal prices over the next two years, citing in a report that the gold market would be in transition from a commodity and jewellerydriven market to an investment-driven one. "We are raising gold from $360 per ounce to $380 for 2004 and from $365 to $400 for 2005, believing that reflationary themes and investment demand can propel gold in a recovering economy," Citigroup said. "We believe that this is the first time in at least 15 years where a case can be made for gold to perform in a recovering economy."
"I have no difficulty imagining gold getting between $500 and $1000 (US) an ounce in two to four years." ~ Eric Sprott, CEO of Sprott Asset Management Inc. Globe and Mail May 25, 2002
The potential for appreciation from current levels in the value of GEEX shares is a real possibility now. Gold is not just for jewellery, but also for use in electronics, computer components, and space exploration. Today, more and more investors around the world are turning to precious metals as an alternative investment. In turn, gold stocks are now looking more attractive. There are many undervalued stocks in this sector presently and GL Energy & Exploration is no exception.
